Pottstown Area Industrial Development (PAID), Inc. collaborated with Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation (PAHWF) in directing funds to Pottstown businesses as part of PAHWF’s COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund.
PAHWF’s board approved a total of $100,000 towards establishing two funds. One fund is for the for social service sector, and one is for the small business sector. The applications were accepted for the business sector from June 5-12 and grants were awarded in amounts up to $2,500. These grants will assist the awarded businesses as they continue to face the impacts of the economic crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Rapid Grants Advisory Committee met on June 17 and made the following recommendations for the first round of grants to Pottstown micro businesses. After PAID’s approval, a total of 9 grants were awarded totaling $21,950.
