PURPOSE AND INTENT
Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), PAED seeks to
- Engage potential vendors for a “Clean Team’ for litter removal and maintaining visual cleanliness of the sidewalk and of the 100 to (a portion of) 500 Blocks of High Street in Downtown Pottstown. The contract will be awarded through a fair and open process. The contract is renewable annually based upon vendor performance and funding availability.
Pottstown Area Economic Development (PAED) is seeking a qualified, professional commercial vendor to provide services to the Borough of Pottstown as listed. All proposed businesses must conform to guidelines and all employees must conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner at all times.
PROJECT SCOPE
- 100 to (a portion of) 500 Blocks of High Street in the Borough of Pottstown
- From Manatawny Street to (just past) Washington Street* (including the area in front of and across the street from the Pottstown Regional Public Library)
- Shifts to be held during the hours of 8am to 4pm (structured or flexible – to be determined)
- 2 individuals (estimated work hours per week to be determined based on needs)
- Required: Appropriate, easily-identifiable uniform; Employee Identification
- Year-round, all-weather, outdoor – appropriate apparel/gear required
- Additional details for this position will be determined between PAED & Vendor including but not limited to: litter disposal & removal, public safety guidelines, pay frequency, training, etc.
Public Transportation is available via SEPTA and Pottstown Area Rapid Transit (PART). Downtown businesses include restaurants and eateries, beer gardens, boutique/specialty retail shops, and professional services.
