Pottstown, PA, June 1, 2022 – Pottstown & PAED welcomed Senator Bob Casey for a visit. It was a full day of stops including Deliah & Dean’s Market, where they provide a variety of fresh produce, organic health foods, supplies, and gifts at affordable prices, and the owners are committed to their goals of access to nutrition and education for everyone.
The visit also included time spent at the American Keg Company, where Senator Bob Casey joined US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, and Congresswoman Madeleine Dean. As the lead economic development organization in the Borough of Pottstown, PAED has been instrumental in championing for legislative support in all of the Borough’s endeavors, including supply chain challenges such as described here with the American Keg Company. These types of engagement meetings acknowledge the critical importance of continuing the progress Pottstown has made. As PAED’s Executive Director, Peggy Lee-Clark has stated, “It is vital for PAED to partner and connect with government officials and business leaders outside of Pottstown to continue on the path of economic revitalization.”
PAED’s mission is to develop, coordinate and implement an overall economic development strategy for the Borough of Pottstown designed to stimulate investment which will maintain and enhance the tax base; retain and create job opportunities; and restore and utilize or remove under-utilized buildings.
