Attention: Pottstown Businesses, Property Owners, and Residents,
Montgomery County has an new alert system, named ReadyMontco that the Borough of Pottstown will be transitioning to.
This program delivers alerts about severe weather and other important events in Montgomery County to the devices of your choice. Whether you prefer emails, text messages, push notifications, or even a good ol’ fashioned phone call – you decide the option that works for you!
There is no direct cost to sign up for ReadyMontco. However, there may be charges for certain features (like receiving text messages) so it’s best to double check with your service providers.
“The Borough will be switching to ReadyMontco due to the inability of the previous system to send messages via text and e-mail which are essential communication methods to an increasingly mobile society. The ReadyMontco system allows for many different forms of communication and better customization and control of notifications by the user. You can elect to receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email addresses, text messages and more. You pick where, you pick how. To sign up, or if you have previously registered for emergency alerts with the Borough and want to continue receiving alerts, you will have to register through this link https://member.everbridge.net/453003085612338/login or the mobile app, Everbridge.”
